Food pick of the Day: Whampoa Keng Fish Head Steamboat Restaurant

Visited the Whampoa Keng Fish Head Steamboat restaurant at 556 Balestier Road. It is well known for their Teochew fish head steamboat. However I felt the standard is not as good as some of the other fish head steamboat restaurants and is pricier. However, the Special Street Tofu never failed to take my breath away. Very tasty and I recommend this dish to all. The claypot pig's liver is great too. Ordered the salted egg prawns and got to say they are yummy too. Service standard is not too great, but I can live with that. For 6 adults and 3 kids, the bill came up to S$170 for a lazy Sunday lunch. Overall, still a nice place for a meal with your family members.
